2D Freelance Animator for web or screen. My name is Jim ( Jimm ) and I would be happy to offer my 2D animation skills and experience to your next project.

This page offers a short-hand information with regards to my time as a 'webguy' and 2D animator. In my humble beginnings, I used to use Macromedia Flash in the good old days to create 2D animatons, and before that, Photoshop to create GIFs. Needless to say, I have since used these and other pieces of software in a professional capacity since studying design and multi-media at university. Those were the good old days.

Over the years, as part of my wider skill set, I have worked as 2D Animator, creating motion graphics for website and and blog content for professional and commercial purposes.

I can create a captiviating animation to suit your project needs, budget and purpose. Whether you are based in London or any other part of the UK, we can arrange a video meeting or a in-person meeting.

My 2D animation and motion work has been used on projects to promote products, inform, amuse, and as part of wider brand persona. My animation work has also been used in Kickstarter projects. This has both been on a freelance and full-time basis as part of my design career.

As part of my wider skill set, one of my biggest assets is my planning and strategy, using my knowledge and experience to what works in both my and my clients best interests. Now to the fun part, my 2D animation services.

Creating Animated Gifs

The humble animated gif... these have been around since the early days of the internet, and with the death of Flash player, I have a found renewed use for the classic 2D GIF. Here is a selection of low-tech, fun visual 'gifs' as an example of what can be used on websites, blogs, apps, games and social media. The animations are generally created in either After Effects, Adobe Animate, or Photoshop. Gif animation is under used format in modern web in my opinion.

Freelance 2D Animator For Web | Information, Servcies & FAQ

Animated Visuals : As mentioned above, I can create motion graphics that aspire to meet a breif. If you have a storyboard or a brief to work to I can adhere to that. If you would like me to create a storyboard, I would also be more than happy to offer my services and consultation. I am happy to work remotely, onsite, freelance or contract. My physical geography covers London and the South East.
Games - I studied a HND in Graphic Design, before going on to do a Multi-media and Design coruse at University and have since used my skills and knowledge in the commercial market. I have over 14 years of freelance and commercial experience.
Adobe Animate and After effects - Originally I trained just to use Flash (Adobe Animate) I have diversified my skills into using Adobe After Effects, an outstanding program for character animation, editing smaller scale motion projects and creating characters for the games. I can also create gifs too for web or apps.
Motion & Video - If you are looking for aniamtion for video inserts, a graphic or animation this is something I can certainly help with.
Important - NDAs | I am more than happy to sign NDA's for your animation project, this can be verbal or written.
